SUMMERTIME
I love when the calendar flips from spring to summer. That means the kids and grandkids roll in for days at the beach - sleepovers - reading on long summer afternoons - bbq’s - outdoor pickle ball - paddle boarding - sand everywhere - flip flops in the doorway - drying towels - snacks galore - laughter - and love. It goes for about 8 weeks and then all too soon - the house empties. I won’t think about that now. I’ll enjoy these days and treasure up these memories in my heart.
